Description:	Zinc is of central importance for the normal development and function of the skin and the integumentary appendage. The trace element Zinc is a component of numerous vital enzymes and is required for the function of several hormones. As the body cannot produce zinc and store it for long periods, it should be included in a healthy and balanced diet. A Zinc deficiency may cause dysfunctions of the skin’s metabolism and the formation of hair and nails. Zinc works as antioxidant in the body and defends it from free radicals. Zinc is organically bound in Zinc gluconate and is well tolerated.

Note:	Important note: Zinc-diet is for adults only and as an additional balanced diet is only to be used under medical supervision. Because there is no experience with pregnant and breastfeeding women, this group should note use Zinc-diet.
