Essential oil blend for mite infestation - scabies
50 ml jojoba, 50ml
30 drops essential rose geranium oil (Pelargonium graveolens), 5ml
30 drops essential tea tree oil (Melaleuca alternifolia), 10ml
10 drops essential lavender oil (Lavandula angustifolia), 10 ml
10 drops essential cedar oil (Cedrus atlantica), 10 ml
Please note, that this blend includes single bottles of each respective oil and that it is not a finished blend.
The mixture can be applied several times a day and is of course especially recommended before the patient goes to bed.
Rose geranium oil is sedative, antiviral and antibacterial. It is used for fungal infections and inflammation of the skin, which can be a consequence of mite invasion, as well as for wound healing.
Tea tree oil has a repellent effect against external parasite infestations. Therefore, it is taken for lice and mite control. This is due to the high content of monoterpenes and monoterpenols. In addition, the cineole it contains has a strong analgesic and antipruritic effect.
The essential oil of lavender is also soothing, skin regenerating and antibacterial.
Atlas cedar wood oil rounds off the mixture because it has an insect-repellent note in addition to its cell-regenerating properties.
Caution: Do not use on children (<8 y.) and women who are pregnant or breastfeeding!
Essential oils should never be applied undiluted, always mix it with a carrier oil (carrier substance).
If possible, test the patient for tolerance by having him smell the oil!
