Essential Oil Blend for Skin Care

100 ml jojoba (50ml) or almond oil

20 drops of essential lavender oil (Lavandula angustifolia, 10ml)

10 drops of essential rose geranium oil (Pelargonium graveolens,5ml)

10 drops of essential cedar oil (Cedrus atlantica,10ml)

 Please note, that this blend includes single bottles of each respective oil and that it is not a finished blend.

In the summer, irritated skin can easily occur if the function of the skin is impaired by intensive sun exposure or by irritation caused by insects or profuse sweating.

The two carrier substances jojoba wax or almond oil already have a nourishing and protective effect. The essential oil of lavender soothes and is also antibacterial. Rose geranium oil has a similar effect, besides the sedative component it is antiviral and has a very pleasant scent. The essential oil of the atlas cedar adds a cell-regenerating and insect-repelling note to the mixture, in addition to the woody fresh scent which dispels unpleasant body odors.

If a cooling component is desired, the mixture can be supplemented with 2 drops of essential peppermint oil. In that case, reduce the amount of cedar oil to 8 drops. For very sensitive skin, the number of drops of all essential oils used can be halved.

Application: The blend is applied to the slightly moist skin after showering.

Caution: Do not use on children (<8 y.) and women who are pregnant or breastfeeding!

Essential oils should never be applied undiluted, always mix it with a carrier oil (carrier substance).
If possible, test the patient for tolerance by having him smell the oil!
