Description

The above-mentioned mixture of essential oils is very suitable for the treatment of Tinea barbea because it has anti-inflammatory, anti-itching and above all antimicrobial properties.

Tinea barbea is a skin mycosis. It is often transmitted from animals to humans. Possible causes are so-called dermatophytes such as Trichophyton mentagrophytes, whose main hosts are rodents, and Trichophyton verrucosum (mainly cattle). In addition, other Trichophyton and Microsporum species are also causative. Animal contacts are the main transmission route and the onset of infection is favoured by milieu changes in the skin. The mycoses cause nodular, inflammatory skin changes with severe itching, which is further promoted by the summer heat and sweat.

The skin caring jojoba wax which is stable for a very long time is suitable as carrier substance for the oil mixture. Almond or sesame oils are also suitable for this application.

Cajeput oil is especially anti-inflammatory and soothing due to its component 1.8 cineol and is therefore a good choice to soothe itching and inflammatory changes of the skin.

Essential rose geranium oil has a similar effect and also stops bleeding which may occur due to scratching. It is antiseptic against viruses and those bacterial and fungal structures that have lost their cell wall and behave like viruses in the tissue.

The ingredients contained in essential lavender oil - especially from the group of alcohols, esters and aldehydes - are skin caring and again itch-killing. Borneol is a special ingredient of the Bulgarian lavender oil from Biofrid and is known for its antiseptic effect. The essential oils of rose geranium and lavender complement and enhance each other in their antimicrobial performance.

Because in the case of Tinea barbae cells are destroyed by the dermatophytes and the itching causes further mechanical skin injuries by the patient, the addition of essential cedar oil is highly recommended. The cell regenerating properties of this oil can effectively support the healing process. The strong woody scent gives the mixture a masculine note.

Application

Rub in 1-2 times daily and depending on the size of the affected areas, 2-3 drops each time, increasing the dosage as required.

Note

Essential oils should never be applied undiluted, always mix it with a carrier oil (carrier substance).
If possible, test for tolerance by smelling the oil!
